Executive Outliers

Business Technology Consultants

In the last 30 years, technology has become essential to business success. Unlike 20 years ago, new business investment, commercial lending, and business buying metrics include the quality of the organization's information and data security systems.

The problem for mid-size businesses is that keeping ahead of technology is a necessary competitive advantage. Google, Microsoft, GE, and other multinational companies use consultants and industry analysts to keep up.

The Opportunity for Mid-Market Companies
The Overhead and Operational costs for smaller companies to plan and implement cutting-edge technology is much less.

Multi-billion dollar organization fail 50% of the time when implementing new cultures, business processes, and technologies. Where the cost for a smaller competitors is 10X less expensive. The culture and business process is easier to change. The only way multi-nationals compete is by buying their smaller competitors.

Executive Outlier Option
Historically, small businesses leapfrog ahead of others leveraging cutting edge technology.  Executive Outliers helps their client find ways to leapfrog ahead, and replace and top industry competitors.

Our Role

For the last 30 years, our team has been working with leaders of private businesses, within the government sector, and non-profits… to build equity and drive innovation. We know that leaders are constantly navigating opportunities and challenges to improve their organization's process, efficiencies, and employee productivity.

Today, with advances in technology, having a scalable business model is increasingly necessary to compete and profit. Traditionally, most businesses experience linear growth but returns can be constrained by the number of staff.

Fortunately, modern technology--strategically implemented-- can make exponential business growth and innovation rapidly accessible.

As business growth advisors and consultants, one of our roles is to provide business leaders with new ways for approaching "old" problems. So, when a client says, "I wish there was a way to…<fill in the blank>"…. we try--and often do--make that happen.

If you've ever said, "I wish there were a way to …" then let's talk.

Behind our Logo

The Story

Our logo is an artistic representation of the mythical Phoenix.

As the Greek legend goes, the Phoenix is a one-of-a-kind bird that, when it was ready to die, would suddenly burst into a fiery ball of flames. Then from the ashes, the Phoenix would magically re-emerge again, stronger than ever.

For ages people have compared the Phoenix's cycle of death and life to our humankind's constant growth cycle. After the big milestones or challenges of life, it's not uncommon for an individual to experience a mental shift or physical change, that can feel almost like becoming a new person each time.

Personally and professionally, this has rung true to our founder, James Murray.

When starting Executive Outliers, he chose to use the Phoenix as a Logo because it represented the outlier mindsets of the clients he wanted to serve.

These clients accepted that to scale their companies, they would have to shed old processes, go through reorganizations, and feel the burn of growing pains, BUT... knew they would emerge from the process renewed and stronger.

Our logo was created by Seattle artist, Yuko Cahn.
